TO ALICE'S SQUIRREL

A true story!

"My heavens!" I cried.
Not a word of a lie!
The squirrel was just wee
When he flew from the tree.
And as I can see,
In no time at all,
It grew bushy and tall
By the time it was three.

And look at those eyes
How could you resist.
To tickle it's tummy's
Too tempting to miss!
It's the life of the party,
It could do chandeliers.
But just to be neat
It'll hang by it's feet.

But when all's said and done
And everyone had fun,
Who is the luckiest?
The squirrel or it's Mum?
